the tech world is waiting anxiously... in a few more hours (manila time), we will know whether the "sleeping giant" conflicker.c will wake up and reap havoc (okay i didn't mean that to sound too scary..)

australianit reports, "SECURITY analysts are bracing for possible internet disruptions tomorrow when the tenacious and mysterious Conficker worm "wakes up" and directs some 10 million infected computers to "call base" for instructions from a master controller."

a patch has been available since late last year but with the recent new strain everyone's worried what effects it would cause (cost!) to those who have been already infected.

all we can perhaps do is to wait and see...
